REHAU Construction Plant Cullman is a major competitor in the manufacture and supply of premium products. Having recently won significant additional, long-term business with some of our most important customers, we have ambitious expansion plans, including a considerable increase in our highly-skilled workforce, at our Cullman, Alabama facility.

We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Production Supervisor for its manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama

Main Roles and Responsibilities

• Involvement in the processing of customer complaints/internal quality complaints, planning and conducting product audits and Q audits as well as conducting Corrective Actions.
• Controlling the current production, initiating measures in case of deviations, escalation where necessary and checking the results
• Responsible for the qualification of their employees, developing and using the expertise of individuals and providing performance feedback to their employees.
• Accepting/transferring the production/areas of responsibility at the change of shift
• Responsible for recording employee attendance and absence.
• Making decisions regarding production approvals, interruption in the case of production problems
• Adherence to the target processes and highlighting deviations
• Follow the REHAU Performance System (RPS2)
• Active involvement and motivation of the employees to participate in the Company Suggestion Program/CIP
• Manage personnel in the departments that report to them according to the REHAU principles and guidelines
• Oversee production to data sheet of the appropriate quality as well as adherence to the production plan in the department that reports to them
• Responsible for detailed personnel planning and ensuring the optimum deployment of personnel
• Supporting the launch of new articles
• Carry out the obligations of the company with regard to safety
• Organization, controlling and optimization of work processes

Important Individual Tasks

• Ability to effectively supervise, direct and support hourly personnel in achieving the goal of efficient production processes
• Effectively communicate with all levels of organization
• Create and maintain work schedules to cover production under normal conditions and when vacations and/or sickness reduce the work force

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma is the minimum requirement. Bachelor or equivalent preferred
• Preferred minimum of 5 years Supervisor of employees experience

Personal Characteristics

• MS Office proficiency required
• Ability to lead effectively
• Organized
• Good oral and written communication skills
