Job Description

PRODUCTION SCIENTIST


WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW

ROLE DETAILS

  • Qualify materials, processes, and protocols for successful production, including performance testing, verification, and validation activities.
  • Manage the handling and maintenance of production cell lines and lead cell culture activities.
  • Stay current with advancements in bioprinting technology and related fields to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Monitor bio-ink production processes, identify potential areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Handle post-print modification of bioprinted components and transfer of related tissue culture processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Lab Operations, to ensure seamless integration of new processes and products.
  • Oversee the transfer and maintenance of bio-ink formulation, production, and troubleshooting for bioprinted components and products.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes and documentation, ensuring industry standards and regulations compliance.
  • Develop quality control procedures and support scale-up and post-transfer development activities.


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of bioprinting technologies and their applications in drug discovery and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency with appropriate word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and related standard software
  • Ability to work independently to deliver results
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates clear scientific or engineering interest and aptitude suitable for an advanced research and development environment
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and regulatory requirements in the biotechnology industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with design of experiments (DOE), statistical analysis, and process validation methodologies.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a life science, pharmaceutical, or biomedical industry.
  • Master's degree (MS) is a plus
  • Experience with cell line maintenance, cell culture, and aseptic processing.
