Production Managers For Off-Broadway

Seeking theatrical production managers to oversee the logistical, administrative, and technical aspects of a variety of off-Broadway Theater Projects Will work closely with the creative and technical teams to ensure the smooth execution of the production within the allocated budget and timeline.

1. Planning and Scheduling: The production manager collaborates with the artistic team, directors, designers, and other production staff to create a comprehensive production schedule.
2. Budgeting and Resource Management: The production manager will be involved in creating and managing the production budget. They work closely with the producer or production company to allocate resources appropriately, balancing expenses for sets, props, costumes, lighting, sound, and other production elements.
3. Hiring and Coordination: The production manager will be responsible for hiring and coordinating the production team. This includes hiring technical staff, such as stagehands, lighting technicians, sound engineers, and wardrobe.
4. Venue and Logistics: The production manager will liaise with the theater venue to coordinate technical requirements. Oversee load-ins and load-outs, ensuring that the production equipment, set pieces, and props are safely transported to and from the theater.
5. Technical and Rehearsal Coordination: The production manager will work closely with the technical crew to coordinate technical rehearsals, ensuring that lighting, sound, and special effects are properly executed. Will schedule and oversee these rehearsals, making sure that actors, crew members, and designers are aware of the schedule and any changes.
6. Health and Safety: The production manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety protocols for the cast and crew.
7. Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: During the production process, unexpected challenges may arise. The production manager plays a crucial role in problem-solving and troubleshooting, finding solutions to issues such as technical malfunctions, scheduling conflicts, or unforeseen changes in the production plan.

Qualifications

• We are looking for multiple production managers - 2+ years of experience, but early-career PM's also welcome
