J OB S UMMARY


The Production Manager will direct and coordinate all manufacturing activities by performing the following duties personally or through department supervisors. The Production Manager will interact with support department managers in a way that contributes to upholding plant and company values.


E SSENTIAL F UNCTIONS


  • In addition Production Manager will act as Sanitation Supervisor and must be knowledgeable of and trained on all
  • Responsible for proper document, label and packaging controls from reweighs through packaging.
  • Utilize GPS processes, driving a zero loss culture and upholding Glanbia non-negotiables.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, resolve personnel grievances and discharge staff in coordination with the human resource department.
  • Maintains production line operation by assisting in the solution of production process problems, making equipment adjustments, equipment changeovers. Working in conjunction with Chief Engineer to resolve equipment problems/failures.
  • Responsible for cost effective solutions to a variety of production challenges.
  • Minimize costs associated with product loss and packaging material waste.
  • Member of the HACCP team and participate in food safety meetings.
  • Create and maintain programs designed towards motivating staff.
  • Council, coach and or discipline personnel as needed.
  • Food safety responsibilities include following designated allergen control procedures and cleaning of an allergen.
  • Enhances equipment performance by installing modifications, making adjustments and recommending improvements.
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  • Maintain high quality standards and zero error tolerance by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, updating and creating new procedures in equipment, raw and in-process materials and finished goods as needed.
  • Trains new team members for blend production job responsibilities by demonstrating Operational, Safety and Quality procedures.
  • Provide direction and supervision to manufacturing staff

Q UALIFICATIONS


Requires a Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience


A minimum of 3-5 Years Manufacturing Management experience.


Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and in PowerPoint.


Must be able to work in a team environment and possess team-based problem solving skills. Must be results focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team and organizational goals.


Independent, proactive, extremely detail oriented, dependable, organized and be able to handle multiple tasks.


Qualified to perform forklift training. Must be results focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team goals


Clean DMV record w/ability to drive company vehicle.


Strong mechanical aptitude proven by past experience.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing over 50 pounds.
