Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes are running smoothly and efficiently. This is a permanent position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our exciting and innovative organization. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations, and ensuring product quality and cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
• Commit to plant safety procedures and lead by example with a focus on building a culture of safety.
• Collaborate with the engineering, supply chain, and risk management teams to develop and implement manufacturing plans and strategies.
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
• Ensure effective internal communication within the team and across the site.
• Share a trusting relationship with the workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
• Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts, including Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
• Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
• Proven ability in using metrics to drive improvements.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement process.
• Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of production management, manufacturing operations, and quality control.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field is required.
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
