Job Description
We are searching for an experienced Manufacturing Manager at our Eureka facility.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:


Supervises staff in the safe, efficient, and quality manufacture of products.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coaches, councils, and provides development plans for a team of leaders. Ensures performance management is occurring in adherence with company policies and procedures. Fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by collaborating with the Facilities department on necessary repairs. Also evaluates new equipment and techniques to improve processes.
  • Maintains safety, service, and quality performance by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Directs manufacturing staff and operations by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Provides manufacturing information by compiling and analyzing production performance records and data.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process. Sets process variables. Observes control points and equipment, monitors personnel and resources, studies methods; implements cost reductions, develops reporting procedures and systems, facilitates corrections to malfunctions within process control points.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment in accordance with our company’s 6S requirements.
  • Monitors budgetary and personnel requirements, makes recommendations for staffing adjustments based on workflow.
  • Ensures employees and processes operate in an environmentally responsible manner. Promotes waste minimization, energy conservation, and other efforts to meet environmental objectives.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.


Required Qualifications:


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must be able to work overtime when requested.
  • Familiarization with computer technology
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of proper workflow practices
  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization (Ex. Sales, Engineering, Technical Support, etc.)


Physical Requirements


  • Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion
  • Stand for extended periods - up to 2-hour periods
  • Some overtime occasionally required


Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related technical field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.


Experience


  • 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment minimum
