Job Description

We’re looking to onboard a dependable self-driven Production Manager for our new facility.

Location: on the Corridor Connector transit system Rt. 340/522 service area

About the Position

The Production Manager is responsible for the entire production process, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production facility. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of food production systems and regulations with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the production team when assistance is needed. The Production Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive productivity, optimize resources, and maintain strict adherence to quality control measures.


The primary duties of a Production Manager include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Assist in the development of production budgets and manage production costs within approved budgets.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of production activities.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure production performance. Analyze data, identify trends, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure targets are met.
  • Resolves all production and quality problems that occur.
  • Continuously assess production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
  • Promotes and encourages a safe, positive, productive work environment.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality or safety.
  • Lead and supervise a team of production staff, providing coaching, guidance, and training as needed. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by promoting and enforcing adherence to health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to meet production schedules.
  • Manages staffing assignments for the shift to achieve plant production and labor objectives.
  • Flexible work schedule to assist the production team.


The ideal candidate

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and convey information clearly.
  • Proficient in using production management software and tools for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes, quality control systems, and relevant regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address production issues promptly.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish. (needed)
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving production targets.
  • Proven experience in a production management role within the food industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work off shifts to ensure alignment across all production teams.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
