Mechanical Components Engineer 8057

In this position...


Design and release responsibilities for automatic transmission and BEV Power Unit components. These components include large/small die castings and other structural parts.


Support transmission systems in the resolution of high mileage, warranty, and plant issues.


Specific reference to reducing warranty spend for current and past models.


What you'll do...


Lead the Component Program Module Team (CPMT) for each mechanical component and report program status to transmission systems departments.


Develop and maintain FMEA's and DVP&R's.


Interface with suppliers in support of all SREA’s.


Support Peer Reviews for other component commodities not only for ICE but Hybrid and BEV applications as well.


You'll have...


- BS in Mechanical Engineering or combination of education and
equivalent experience.
  • Background in automatic transmission function and product
design experience preferred.

- Prior structural design experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, passionate about delivering
high quality components.
