Nevco Sports, LLC. – Product Development Manager Position


Nevco Sports, LLC. is seeking a dynamic, tenacious, strategic, innovative, and experienced product development professional to join our team. This position is responsible for working with our sales, marketing, manufacturing, and engineering teams to identify and develop new products and related services that compliment our existing product offering to high school and collegiate athletic facilities. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organization, communication, and technical skills. Persuasiveness, creativity, strong work ethic, decision making, and managing multiple projects with a “can do” attitude are key strengths that will ensure success in this strategic sales position.This position will be based out of a Greenville IL.

Responsibilities includes:

  • Monitor and analyze product performance and customer feedback to drive product improvements and enhancements.
  • Work closely with legal, supply chain and operations to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards and protocols for product development and testing.
  • Oversee product testing and validation processes.
  • Quality Assurance and Product Testing
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, design, and manufacturing teams to align product development initiatives with business objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support manufacturing scale-up and optimization processes.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept ideation to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Conduct market research competitor analysis and consumer insights to identify market trends, opportunities, and gaps.
  • Define the product roadmap, including new product development, line extensions, and product enhancements.

·Proven experience in product development within the sporting goods industry.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent project management abilities, including planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

·5-6+ years of experience in product development, product marketing, marketing, or a related field, preferably at a consumer goods company.

·Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a combination of the above.

·Prior experience hiring, managing, leading, and goal setting with team members.

·A “100% on” consumer-first perspective when it comes to introducing new products/processes or improving current products.

·Ability to effectively “manage up” by communicating your top priorities and constantly seeking feedback on your and your team’s work.

·A mindset geared toward building relationships across multi-functional teams, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.

·Strong technical knowledge and aptitude or experience with software interfaces.

·Proven experience in product development within the sporting goods industry.

  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

·Highly-effective communication skills – both written (presentation/email) and in-person (ability to host succinct, effective conversations that solve problems and ability to make effective presentations to all levels of management, including executive leadership team).

·Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

·A desire to learn and grow in a passionate environment. The ability to embrace transparency and shifting priorities while leaning from each decision and focusing on the path forward.

·CAD Software Experience.
