Product Development Engineer Jobs

Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing manufacturer in the Fuquay Varina area looking for a Product Development Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of Customer specific product Line-ups and Suites.
• Evaluate present product and make continuous improvements including cost and warranty reductions. Respond to, identify and recommend solutions to manufacturing and quality issues
• Indirect supervision of design engineers, drafters and technicians to the completion of projects.
• Design and develop new products per specifications. Coordinate design activities to achieve design requirements. Document design per ISO procedures.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations.
• Plan, organize, integrate, control and manage projects from concept to production by leading cross functional teams.
• Author engineering documentation such as deviations, ECN’s, engineering standards, CAD files, specifications, and application data for sales and service literature.
• Create test and experimental methods and perform life, reliability, systems, agency and component testing. Analyze results and make decisions based on those results.

Projects may include:

• Development of laboratory and field testing procedures
• Other activities as required.
• Specification of new components and systems.
• Development of new products or new approaches to problems.
• Modification of existing product.
• CAD layout and design (Solids and Modeling)

Requirements:

• Must have minimum of 3 years 3D design experience in SolidWorks, CREO or equivalent software package.
• Must possess sound fundamental Engineering Principles in areas related to product design. Areas of interest include the following:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from accredited University (or Associates Degree with adequate work experience) plus 5 to 10 years product design experience.
• Mechanics, Electric Circuits, Fluid Flow, Combustion, Thermodynamics & Heat Transfer, Sheet Metal Forming, Grey Iron and Aluminum Casting, Injection Molding, Machining, Mig, Tig welding and brazing, Mechanical and electrical product assembly
