Job Description
Company Description

Reverb is a leading online marketplace for buying and selling new, used, and vintage musical instruments. Since launching in 2013, Reverb has grown into a vibrant community of buyers and sellers all over the world. By focusing on inspiring content, price transparency, musician-focused eCommerce tools, a music-savvy customer service team, and more, Reverb has built an online destination where the global music community can connect over the perfect piece of music gear.

We love working at Reverb because we’re making the world more musical—through our marketplace and through Reverb Gives, which provides musical instruments to youth music education programs. We were named a “Best Place to Work” by Built in Chicago and a “Top Workplace'' by the Chicago Tribune.

We are looking for an experienced product designer to join the Reverb product team. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and collaborating tightly with product managers and engineers to ensure we are delivering simple, enticing experiences that delightfully address our customers' needs. Do you feel energized by crafting experiences customers love that drive business goals? If so, this may be the role for you!

This is a full-time position reporting to the Product Design Manager of our Growth team. For candidates located in NYC, San Jose, San Francisco, or Seattle, please visit this link for compensation information. For candidates in all other eligible locations, the base salary range will be $88,000 - $114,000 USD per year.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with other designers, product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and analysts.
  • Apply and contribute to our design system to proficiently create work that balances the product constraints of our platform and new technical possibilities.
  • Work across multiple squads supporting Product Design leads on high-impact, transformative projects.
  • Collaborate on discovery and ideation workshops and effectively align the group around a vision and approach.
  • Test hypotheses with users through prototyping and A/B tests to discover insights that evolve the work forward.
  • Create alignment on user flows and design multiple solutions that explore different arrangements of content, layout and interactions in order to deliver simple, effective user experiences.
  • Take part in design critiques and present your work to peers and leadership for feedback.

Qualifications
  • Experience working on mobile web and desktop with an understanding of fully responsive UI design.
  • Ability to negotiate, persuade and effectively present a clear vision to partners, stakeholders and leadership.
  • Experience collaborating with UX researchers to craft and conduct research that validates your design decisions.
  • Successful track record of applying insights from research and experimentation to craft user-centered designs that clearly impact business and customer experience goals.
  • 2+ years experience across UX design, interaction design and visual design, with a growing awareness of design strategy and information architecture concepts.

Additional Information

Remote-eligible roles (as indicated in the location header of each job description) are available in all U.S. states except Alaska and Hawaii. Remote roles are currently only available within the U.S. unless otherwise specified in the specific job description.

Reverb offers compensation packages that include base, bonus, and equity in the form of Etsy restricted stock units. Some of our key benefits include:

  • Access to free supplemental online mental health services and care
  • Paid sabbatical program
  • 100% paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, spouse or domestic partner, and all eligible dependents. Medical coverage includes gender affirming care coverage (you read it right: no premiums!)
  • A generous PTO policy that includes vacation, sick/mental health days plus 11 paid holidays and two floating holidays
  • Ways to give back to your community through a charitable contribution match and volunteer time off
  • Up to $25,000 reimbursement of adoption and/or surrogacy related expenses
  • A matching 401(k)
  • $1,000 annual work/life stipend
