We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Contractual Product Design Engineer with expertise in designing products based on injection molding processes. As a Contractual Product Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of our innovative products, ensuring they are designed to meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct feasibility studies and perform mold flow analysis to assess the manufacturability of designs, considering factors such as part complexity, material selection, gate placement, cooling channels, and ejection mechanisms.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials for injection molding, considering factors such as durability, cost, and aesthetic requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, product specifications, and design objectives.
• Optimize product designs for injection molding processes by ensuring proper wall thickness, draft angles, undercuts, and other relevant design features.
• Develop detailed 2D and 3D design concepts using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create models, prototypes, and technical drawings.
• Perform design reviews, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to improve product functionality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Utilize your knowledge and proficiency in injection molding design principles to create designs that optimize manufacturability, assembly, and overall product performance.
• Generate accurate technical documentation, including assembly instructions, bill of materials (BOM), and specifications, to facilitate the manufacturing and assembly processes.

Requirements:

• Experience in designing complex parts and assemblies for injection molding processes, considering design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• A portfolio showcasing your previous product design projects, particularly those related to injection molding, is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Contractual Product Design Engineer or similar role, with a focus on injection molding design.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to injection molding design and manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of injection molding design principles, including an understanding of material properties, mold flow analysis, gating, cooling, and ejection mechanisms.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, for 2D and 3D design creation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design creation, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design-related issues effectively.
