We are looking for an experienced Procurement Leader – Raw Materials for our state-of-the-art First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA.

The key to this position will be a deep understanding and experience of sourcing and spend management processes and methodology and the ability to enact the sourcing process with cross functional teams.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
• Manages raw material supply agreement development and implementation processes.
• Represents raw material procurement on Business Unit Lead Teams
• Manages strategic raw material supplier relationships.
• Secures and analyzes raw material quotations; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to quality, service, innovation, and cost competitiveness.
• Completes and communicates supplier performance evaluations in the form of a formal supplier scorecard.
• Manages the activities and performance of raw material buyers.
• Develops and coordinates raw material strategy across the FQ-AHG companies.
• Monitors key raw material exception reports to maintain system accuracy
• Participates in supplier audits including when / who should be audited.
• Reviews raw material needs with plant planners/buyers/operations to ensure their needs are being met while adhering to overall raw material strategy.
• Tracks raw material price indices (i.e., RISI, CDI, IHS, etc.)
• Performs risk assessments for raw material commodity segments and develops an action plan with involvement of Finance, Product Development, and Operations to mitigate risk to First Quality

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Must be customer focused, team oriented, self-motivated, and results oriented.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to plan, lead, and organize several initiatives at one time.
• 3-5 years’ related experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and information.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
