About Us:

MidRail is a freight rail private equity asset manager with an operating and sponsor team focused on originating, acquiring, consolidating, and developing integrated rail assets and operations across North America. MidRail intends to acquire and operate private industrial rail operations, short lines, Class I spin-offs, independent rail facilities, operators, and select rail technology businesses. We currently manage and advise approximately $1 billion of AUM and seek to build assets under management to $2-3bn over the next three to five years. Our team has revolutionized railroading. We have the permanent capital to make things happen in the smaller, undercapitalized, and underfollowed segments of freight rail operating businesses. Our team is known for doing what many say, "can't be done." We are specialist railroad investors and operators but are 'Progressive Railroaders' looking for outside-the-box solutions combined with best-in-class practices. Our team is considered one of the premier rail/transportation investment teams in North America often collaborating, competing, and winning against world’s top tier infrastructure private equity investors.
