The Nurse Practitioner (NP)/ Physician Assistant (PA) functions under the clinical supervision of licensed physicians, provides diagnostic and therapeutic health care to patients in Assisted Living and Independent Living environments. Obtain, evaluates, and interprets lab results, performs physical exams and therapeutic procedures.

  • Address both acute and chronic primary care complaints, and able to ascertain medical urgency.
  • Perform timely documentation and billing.
  • Establish and document reasonable medical diagnoses.
  • Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures within his/her level of training and expertise.
  • Accept feedback and direction from the supervising physician.
  • Prescribe medications as appropriate.
  • Create and implements a medical plan of care.
  • Order pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing for the medical diagnosis or presenting symptom.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations including history and physical exams.
  • Provide general medical care to various and/or specific patient levels- adults/geriatric.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year Internal Medicine/Primary Care experience
  • Valid Wisconsin DEA
  • Valid Wisconsin APNP or PA-C License
