Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain full dispatch stack models
  • Propose and monitor trading strategies based on fundamental research and provide insight into market developments
  • Develop and maintain market data, analysis and presentations
  • Provide analysis to traders and originators on evolution of gas market
  • Support traders on ad-hoc analysis on various subjects related to power and gas markets
  • Provide fundamental analysis of North American Power Markets
  • Develop models for projected build out of renewable generation across U.S. ISO’s

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, finance, mathematics, or related area (Master’s Degree is preferred)
  • Fluency in weather normalization and other statistical techniques
  • 5-7+ years of energy market fundamental analysis experience
  • Experience developing analysis for trading activities and customer development
