Power Electronics Software Engineering Internship - Summer 2023

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer Intern will be assigned to projects involving the design, development, and testing of software based products. Assist in the development and implementation of clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes for engineering or manufacturing purposes, according to specified dimensions using computer and specially designed software.

Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products.
• Generate and scan prints.
• Develop your skills under the supervision and guidance of experienced professionals.
• Perform basic product design modifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Categorize a wide arrangement of existing parts.
• Work directly with other engineers and professionals in a team environment and see how Toshiba's engineers work together to deliver success.
• Ability to perform mechanical/electrical design calculations.
• Develop basic detail and assembly drawings for products and equipment.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Current enrollment in Electrical Engineering program with a focus on Power Electronics at an accredited college or university.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
• Must be a team player and able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
• Ability to work 40hrs per week at our office located in Northwest Houston, TX.

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
