General Purpose: The Porter plays an essential role in ensuring that the store is always clean and that our customers receive the very best service.

Work Schedule: 40+ hours per week, weekend work required

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Customer Service
• Wash dishes, take out trash, mop, and other standard and deep cleaning
• Perform any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Kitchen and/or Store Manager
• Contribute to the control of store expenses and energy conservation practices
• Use various kitchen & cleaning equipment, bailer, pallet jacks, and forklifts in compliance with company safety policy
• Ensure cleanliness standards are met throughout the store
• Inventory Control
• Stock carts
• Understand and practice store safety rules

Requirements:

Required Education / Experience:

• Work and education history demonstrating stability
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Basic mathematical skills

Physical Demands:

• Handle labels, signs or tags, case cutter or utility knife, grasp and handle wet, iced, cold, metal, paper, plastic products, cardboard, packaging, and debris.
• Work on tile or concrete standing for extended periods of time
• Use maintenance and product transportation equipment
• Lift a maximum of 50 lbs. from 6 inches to 84 inches, overhead
• Balance on wet, slick, dirty and debris strewn floors.
• Reach forward and/or down with both hands up to 36 inches
• Bend and Twist at the waist while reaching and holding items
• Move a maximum of 50 lbs. up to 15 yards
• Climb on ladders, racks, cases, shelving, and stairs up to three feet in height.
