What you can expect to do:

• Ensure pool deck, dining tables and cabanas are clean and orderly throughout the service period.
• Discard used towels and replace with clean and neatly placed towels on lounge chairs and service stations.
• Obtain a completed check, present to the guest and finalize check in the POS system according to method of payment.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Escort guests to chairs, provide set up assistance/towels and serve water.
• Attend all scheduled staff meetings and supplemental training sessions
• Be knowledgeable of liquor laws as well as company policies regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Take guests’ food and beverage order and anticipate any needs and wishes
• Be responsible and accountable for all unsigned guest checks and report them to the manager.
• Remove any dirty dishes and utensils from guests’ area.
• Check side duty list for opening and closing procedures.
• Be familiar with emergency safety measures.
• Know all beverages available including ingredients, garnish and specific service
• Be knowledgeable about The Post Oak and its services.
• Promptly deliver food and beverage items, as they are prepared to the correct table and in order.
• Monitor pool deck for seat availability, service and well-being of guests.
• Know all menu items including ingredients, required condiments and specific service.
• Communicate clearly with cook staff or expeditor when picking up food orders
• Greet arriving guests warmly and sincerely.
• Be familiar with all standards of performance excellence and adhere to these standards throughout our guest’s experience.
• Maintain a positive image and energy.
• Proactively engage guests and promote a positive experience.

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current Alcohol Server Seller Certification.
• Ability to lift moderate weights and remain on feet for a prolonged period of time.
• Neat appearance.
• A sincere desire to provide the utmost in guest service.
• Ability to carry food and beverage trays safely and professionally.
• Current Food Handler's Card.
• Ability to listen effectively.
• Strong attention to detail a must.

• One to three years of experience
