Platform Lead Systems Engineer
The Role
The Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing (DCGPU) organization is excited to hire a highly skilled individual that can provide leadership for debugging complex system and SOC problems as well providing technical insight during the emulation, bring-up and validation phases of a Product life cycle. The Platform Lead team is comprised of individuals that are the “go-to engineers” in working with key partners/customers as well providing leadership back into the DCGPU validation organization. Individual will review the platform/system design, provide recommendations of validation required based on the design, give the partner/customer recommendations for manufacturing validation, debug the complex problems that arise during the different product phases.
The Person
Person has to have experience in bringing up complex CPU/GPUs in a system. Have leadership skills in driving complex issues/problems and provide insight into not only designs but debug of complex system level problems.
Key Responsibilities

• Drive key organization initiatives
• Expertise in a given subsystem of a system/platform
• Lead working on the bring-up of a GPU subsystem for given systems or platforms
• Lead debug / triage engineer for a given systems or platform
• Provide leadership input/recommendations to validation, manufacturing test based on the SOC to platform design

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience in system or SOC level debug and triage
• Bring-up of complex computer systems that reside in Data Centers (GPU)
• Proven ability to drive resolution of critical problems within a lab, datacenter or customer environment
• Experience in mapping a design of a system to validation and providing leadership to individual validation teams

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Leadership and Communication skills are mandatory as individual will be in top level customer relation technical discussions
• Experience in a key Subsystem area of expertise is a plus: CPU, GPU, Memory, High Speed I/O
• Programming skills a plus to create scripts for a creating easy to use boot / log-in / debug for the entire organization
• Significant experience in SoC and/or System bring-up, validation, verification and debug of complex issues
• Develop / Document debug capabilities on a given SOC and System
• Able to work as a team and work efficiently in a dynamic environment and on multiple projects
• Be the go-to person for debugging of issues for a given system/platform/subsystem
• Collaborate with partners/customers on systems design, validation, manufacturing test
• Hands-on experience in using industry debug tools, scopes

Academic Credentials

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer or Electrical Engineering
