Plant Controller Jobs

What’s the job?

As a Controller you will assist with the management of the financial reporting and internal control functions of the Travelers Rest Plant, ensuring financial results are reported accurately and on a timely basis.

• Develop and Maintain the plant's budgeting, financial planning, controls, reporting and accounting policies and practices.
• Analyze financial results and provide management with an understanding of the finance performance, and the financial effect of business plans and strategies.
• Work with the SOA Controller to modernize operational reporting and convert to PowerBI.
• Work with the Super Abrasives operational teams to identify and implement actions to drive business improvements.

What do you bring?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• 5+ years' experience with standard cost systems and related accounting transactions.
• Advanced Excel skills, specifically knowledge of lookups and pivots
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to understand the issues and fix them.
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, such as with people at the shopfloor level or top management.
• Attention to detail with a healthy balance of speed versus accuracy and ability to sense check data for accuracy and challenge unreasonable assumptions.

Preferred

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• CPA
• Experience in manufacturing or related industry.
• Systems experience using SAP, Power BI, Prophix, with emphasis on standard cost, inventory accounting and variance analysis.
