Company Overview

Our small manufacturing company specializes in creating customized closet solutions for homes and businesses. With locations in Minneapolis and Chicago, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a Controller to join our team and help manage our finances and accounting processes.

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash management. This individual will work closely with the executive team to ensure that the company's financial goals and objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities Include

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Develop and manage the annual budget process

Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance Manage the cash flow and forecasting process

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable

Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations

Stay up-to-date with accounting best practices and ensure that the company is following them

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years of experience as a Controller or similar role.

Additionally, the candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)

Some knowledge of tax laws and regulations

Experience managing a team of accounting professionals (some of who will be overseas)
