Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Planning Analyst is responsible for scheduling the usage of production materials to ensure optimal levels. The Planner must evaluate suppliers or quality, timeliness and match them according to goals. They also monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage that may arise.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Other duties as assigned
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Review material availability and create, release and schedule production based on customer needs and material availability
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
  • Collaborate with production, operations, quality control, warehouse and other staff
  • Reviews data integrity for the Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Manage analytical reporting and dashboards that proactively identify risks and resolutions
  • This role will also involve working with inter departments in the commercialization process to ensure that new items are successfully launched
  • The planning function is critical. We will rely on you to plan, organize, and coordinate production in a manner that meets customer expectations within accepted published lead times
  • Develop a Master Production Schedule that satisfies customer service expectations
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.)
  • Track Inventory Trends and Monitor Inventory against agreed upon target levels, making recommendations based on findings and analysis
  • Communicate with stakeholders sharing reports, updates, and analysis to aid in decision-making
  • Liaise with sales and customer service to ensure orders are captured and are fulfilled
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • Manage raw material master data in variety of systems to ensure accuracy and data quality
  • Periodically review inventory status and master data in ERP system
  • Participate in regular planning reviews and prepare data in line with changes
  • Monitor data input to any Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system or IT system for accuracy and resolve any issues as required
  • Automate reporting and enhance business processes to improve planning efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work with raw material planning team to identify raw material risk and ensure supporting MRP systems reflect forecasts and demand for products


Requirements


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Proven experience as production planner
  • Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Power BI) and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • 5+ years’ experience in Production, Supply, or Materials Planning
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
  • Required: Associate degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or other relevant field of study; Recommended: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Systems Engineering, or other relevant field of study


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance
  • Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work for an extended period in a freezer and non-airconditioned environment
