Corporate Pilot

Chief Pilot
POSITION SUMMARY
The pilot is responsible for safe transport of J.M. Smucker personnel in domestic and international flights. They ensure the aircraft meets performance for airworthiness, researches current weather, and calculates/files instrument flight rules (IFR) flight plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides leadership and guidance to department flight crews ensuring safety standards and performance are maintained to the highest level.
  • Complies with all regulations and J.M. Smucker policies for the operation of the flight.
  • Ensures the aircraft to which they are assigned is properly equipped and in compliance with the regulations of the FAA and ICAO standards.
  • Ensures the safe and efficient operations of the flight to which they are assigned.
  • Completes all forms required by J.M. Smucker policies for the flight to which they are assigned.
  • Follows J.M. Smucker policies at destination airports for the purchase of fuel, security of aircraft, all matters of liaison with passengers, the dispatch officer, and other agencies outlined in J.M. Smucker bulletins, memos and procedural manuals published for the operations of flights.
  • Maintains a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer services.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
  • Aircraft specific training
  • High school diploma
Experience
  • At least 2000 hours total flight time
  • At least 500 hours multi engine turbine
Preferred Experience
  • At least 1000 hours multi engine turbine
  • Previous F2TH Easy experience
  • At least 3500 hours total flight time
  • At least 1000 hours PIC in a multi crew environment
Other
  • Radio telephone operators permit is required
  • First Class Medical is required
  • Air transport pilot license is required
  • Valid passport is required
  • Valid automobile driver’s license is required
