Position Summary
The PT Manager is responsible for the management of physical therapy practice and the delivery of quality and safe patient care within the hospital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Patient Assessment & Care Development:
- Develop individualized care plans aligning with patient needs and goals, following physician’s orders and evidence-based practice.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, considering their medical history, physical condition, and referral requirements.
2. In-Home Therapy Interventions:
- Educate patients and caregivers on managing conditions and achieving goals, and prepare them for discharge when appropriate.
- Monitor patient status, progress, and adherence to the care plan, making adjustments as necessary.
4. Clinical Documentation:
- Complete clinical notes, evaluations, and progress reports within the hospital’s established timelines, maintaining adherence to both legal and professional standards.
- Ensure that all necessary forms and documentation are accurate, clear, and reflective of the care provided.
5. Care Coordination & Conferences:
- Collaborate with the care team to achieve a seamless transition between different stages of therapy and other services if needed.
- Attend and actively participate in care conferences with other healthcare professionals, ensuring an integrated approach to patient care.
6. Quality Improvement Participation:
- Continuously strive for excellence by adhering to best practices, attending training, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy trends.
- Actively participate in the hospital’s quality improvement program, suggesting improvements where necessary.
7. Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other related and assigned duties that may include liaising with other healthcare providers, participating in community outreach programs, or assisting with administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to multi-task with a high level of efficiency and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.
- Ability to take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently.
- Computer proficiency.
- The individual in this position must hold the appropriate state licensure as a physical therapist and demonstrate the ability to perform the above essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred
- Knowledge of community resources and cultural needs.
- Previous experience in healthcare setting.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, staff is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and/or listen. He/she uses his/her hands to do computer work, write reports, do equipment set-up/cleaning/storage, clerical support, etc. He/she will be using the phone frequently. Good vision is needed to be able to read schedules, enter accurate data, etc. He/she must have good general health and demonstrate emotional stability so as to carry out the above-enumerated duties.
- Stand, walk, and move 50% of the day.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Use proper body mechanics when handling equipment.
Compliance Requirements
Complies with Chinese Hospital Compliance Handbook including Code of Ethics and all statutes, regulations, guidelines applicable to federal and state programs. Responsibilities include, following the guidelines and reporting suspected violations of any statute, regulations, agreements or guidelines applicable to all healthcare programs.

Base Pay Scale
Starting at $90,000 – $130,000 per year. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
