Salesforce is a seeking a Physical Security Manager to work closely with the executive protection team to identify risks and threats which may impact the organization and its leadership. As a member of the executive protection team, the Physical Security Manager will be responsible for the collection and analysis of open-source intelligence, the assessment of emerging threats, and helping to mitigate risk. This role will specifically support executive protection and executive travel security on a global level, and will contribute to the development of a proactive, outstanding executive protection intelligence program.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of global security risks, have experience producing threat assessments and possess an extensive network of public and private sector professional contacts. They will perform research and generate reports regarding quantifiable security risks and challenges and accurately assess whether incidents or trends may increase the risk of operating in these locations. Specific areas of reporting include but are not limited to:
- Threat Assessments of communications, individuals, and events
- Executive Traveler Safety
- Proactive identification of potential threats to include visual analytics
- Find efficiencies in research techniques and tools and develop new capabilities and processes for scalable solutions
- Routine intelligence monitoring and gathering
This position resides in the Trust and Safety organization, and the successful candidate for this role will serve in an on-call rotation, and be available for emergent situations as needed. Anticipated travel will be less than 10% annually.
Responsibilities:
- Customize communication and output to a wide variety of audiences; determine best audience for data-driven insights
- Partner with key internal stakeholders, law enforcement, and intelligence counterparts, as it relates to those issues
- Manage an intelligence database and intelligence briefs in order to provide consistent monitoring support for the executive protection team
- Gather and analyze data to facilitate improvements in the methodologies, tools, and techniques to enable the team to scale and optimize operations to mitigate potential risk
- Build dashboards, visualizations, and analyses that surface insights and drive key business decisions; provide interpretation and analysis, or insight along with clearly-stated information, representing both the team and leadership.
- Provide timely and accurate threat assessments on events/incidents that could impact the organization and its leadership and, when necessary, recommend vulnerability mitigation strategies
- Manage and conduct protective intelligence research with a nexus to executive protection
- Partner with key internal stakeholders, law enforcement, and intelligence counterparts, as it relates to those issues
- Support an environment of protecting Salesforce’s executives, their assets, and their reputation through pro-active intelligence reporting, information sharing, and partnering with cross-functional partners.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
- Familiarity with Salesforce and our business culture
- Strong collaboration, analytical problem-solving, project management, and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Strong proficiency working in web-based tools including spreadsheet programs, Tableau, Salesforce, etc. and app scripts.
- Experience with project management (i.e. taking an idea from initial scoping through to delivery and adoption).
- Proven ability to work with highly confidential information
- Ability to distill communications and tailor make deliverables based on a target audience
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS degree with a quantitative and/or research focus or equivalent practical experience
- Experience leading/engaging with multiple stakeholders while managing scope effectively in a fast paced environment.
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in risk intelligence, threat analysis, business intelligence/analysis, competitive/market intelligence/analysis, crisis management, or business continuity.
- Diverse experience as an intelligence analyst, investigator or threat management specialist
