About The Position


The Philanthropy Coordinator is responsible for building and executing the development plan, implementing all aspects of philanthropy, responsible for running special events related to fundraising and community outreach. The Philanthropy Coordinator will spearhead development efforts in collaboration with key stakeholders as AWS grows all philanthropic initiatives.


Essential Functions


  • Develop and execute AWS annual fundraising plan and securing financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Maintain an organized system of moves management of all prospects to ensure consistent and high-performing results
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
  • Manage the implementation of the Donor Management system and execute data entry and gift processing
  • Oversees the creation and execution of special events and community outreach events with the partnership of staff, volunteers, advisory committee, and any other key stakeholders
  • Develop and manage a solid Stewardship strategy to cultivate relationships that maintains ongoing relationships with major donors
  • Partner with staff to recruit philanthropic-driven volunteers


Work/ Credential Requirements


  • Intellectual depth, moral integrity, personal vision, creativity, leadership skills, fortitude, sincerity, and diplomacy.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
  • At Least 3 years of experience working in a similar position
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and Growth Mindset
  • A commitment to providing services in accordance to the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Bachelors Degree, required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Leadership Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player who will productively engage with others.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office or Donor Management Software
  • Event Management
