Position Summary


The People Development Consultant is integral to supporting the growth and development of our employees and leaders. The People Development Consultant will coach, consult, design and deliver professional and personal development at all levels in the business. This includes creation and development of in-person workshops and the facilitation of prepared content. Underpinning our development program is our focus on Simpro’s competencies, and Simpro’s mission, vision and values.


What You’ll Do


  • Deliver classroom and virtual training and coaching to new and existing Simpeeps across various departments
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in people development and incorporate them into program design and delivery
  • Psychometric profiling of Simpeeps, including providing an overview of the model and carrying out debrief sessions with individuals, managers and teams
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive people development programs, including but not limited to leadership development; Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging training; Simpro product training; as well as technical and competency skills training
  • Work collaboratively with business leaders and the wider People & Culture function to assess internal learning and development needs
  • Build strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues across Simpro to support the delivery of the People Development strategy, that builds high performing Simpeeps across all business areas
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of engaging and effective learning content, resources, and materials for different audiences and learning formats
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of people development programs through feedback, assessments, and metrics, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to managers and employees to support their professional growth and development


What You’ll Bring


  • Cultural sensitivity and good knowledge of best practices in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
  • Prior global organization L&D experience a big plus
  • Psychometric certification strongly preferred (e.g. Birkman, DISC, Insights or similar)
  • A passion for learning, innovation, and staying current with industry trends and best practices
  • Experience in designing competency framework would be advantageous
  • Experience in a similar people development, leadership development, or training position
  • Adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative and able to create a compelling narrative for a senior audience
  • Possesses both strategic and tactical thinking capabilities
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences
  • Prior SaaS experience a plus
  • Be a strategic thinker, with the ability to champion Simpro’s values and culture, and contribute to developing a ‘people’ experience that supports the mission, vision and achievement of organizational goals
  • An excellent understanding of different leadership potential models and behavior/capability frameworks
  • Experience in the design and implementation of an effective management and leadership development program
  • Learning and Development or Training qualifications such as CIPD/CTP/Coaching /ICF preferred


Compensation: $80,000-85,000
