Reporting to the Site Manager, the ideal individual is flexible, compassionate and professional. The L.A.D.D.E.R program subscribes to a patient-centered, trauma-informed, care team approach for adults 18 years of age or older who are experiencing symptoms of a mental health disorder and/or substance use disorder. Responsibilities


  • Plan and facilitate activities and groups including community meeting and lunch activities as well as peer lead symptom management and recovery groups.
  • Encourage involvement of client’s natural support by participating in staffing’s and interaction to increase positive communication between clients and their existing associations and relationships, such as family, school, work and community.
  • Document services provided that conform to agency guidelines and best practices.
  • Participate in Department and company morning meetings, staff meetings and trainings when required.
  • Ability to drive to company sites and external agencies throughout Maricopa County.
  • Maintains the appropriate skills and knowledge for the position.
  • Conduct peer outreach to engage at risk individuals and populations facing barriers in accessing care.
  • Welcome and orient clients to the clinic and the program.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
  • Maintain good self-care and committed to the principle of recovery.
  • Develop and maintain positive community-based relationships with healthcare partners to benefit patient coordination.
  • Participate in community outreach and engage clients in the community by introducing them to other organizations and service providers that offer care such as hospitals, recovery clinics, counseling, employment and more.
  • Coordinates tasks in serving the consumers and provides care coordination with internal and external providers.
  • Plan and provides transportation for clients who are enrolled in the Terros Health LADDER Program.
  • Be a role model for recovery by promoting and sharing treatment and recovery lived experience lending a unique insight that makes wellness possible using strength -based engagement and treatment strategies for all patients served.
  • Establishes therapeutic relationships with a variety of patients for the purpose of mentoring and role modeling that can establish and reach treatment goals.

  • Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members.
  • Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions.
  • Understanding of recovery principles and the ability to utilize personal experience to benefit others.
  • Must be able to pass the Arizona Department of Child Safety Direct Service Central Registry Clearance process.
  • The applicant must have at least one year of self-identified and lived experience with substance use
  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Driving is an essential function of this position.
  • The applicant must have the minimum combination of High School Diploma or G.E.D education and/or has a minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Arizona State Peer Certification preferred or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, electronic medical record experience, NextGen preferred.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass a TB test.
  • Must have or be able to attain CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of assuming role.
