Pediatric Clinical Dietitian Ii - 75% ($5,000 Sign-On Incentive For New To Ui Hires)

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food & Nutrition is seeking a Pediatric Clinical Dietitian II to use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition counseling for patients in program areas as assigned.

Limited Time Incentive Available: selected candidates are eligible for a one-time sign-on incentive of $5,000. Current UI Employees are not eligible.

• Teach dietetic interns
• Use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for pediatric inpatients and outpatients
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and develops nutritional components of care
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient’s status according to age

The department intends to hire one candidate from either Pediatric Clinical Dietitian I, requisition 23002267, or Pediatric Clinical Dietitian II, requisition 23002268, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. Salary: $39,000 - $71,250

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Experience making enteral and parenteral recommendations and selection appropriate formulas
• 3-5 years of clinical nutrition experience
• Master’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Must demonstrate experience working effectively in a diverse environment
• Demonstrated competency of patient care in pediatric populations in the outpatient setting

Certifications

• Licensure by the State of Iowa is required
• Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required
