Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to support our People team and enhance the employee experience. Reporting directly to the Talent & Employee Experience Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing payroll, benefits, and leave coordination for the entire company. Collaborating closely with the People team, you will ensure that all current and future firm employees have an exceptional experience while providing crucial support to our internal team.
Here's What You'll Be Doing
Take charge of bi-weekly payroll administration for the entire company and act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries. You will also serve as the main contact for our HR system at the firm.
Manage our benefits offerings across existing and potential future locations as we continue to expand. This includes health insurance, 401k, and more. You will be the internal point of contact for benefit-related queries and liaise with external benefit platforms and brokers, handling benefit invoicing and deduction setup.
Communicate, manage, assist with, and track various forms of employee leave, such as parental leave, LOAs, military leave, extended sick leave, and workers' compensation leave.
Act as the main point of contact for all workers' compensation communications, both internally with employees and managers and externally with our insurance partner.
Take ownership of reporting and data management for the entire People team. This involves pulling and managing reports from the HRIS, creating necessary dashboards, and handling exit interview and turnover reporting.
Ensure compliance with local, federal, and state requirements pertaining to HR and payroll processes.
Assist the Talent and Employee Experience Specialist with escalated HR inbox matters and facilitate lifecycle tasks.
Perform other related duties within the People team as needed.
Here's The Experience We're Looking For
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in a rapidly scaling or startup environment, demonstrating a track record of supporting great teams.
At least 2 years of experience in payroll administration for 200+ employees.
Preferred HR Certification Credentials (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP).
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
Familiarity with Paylocity is preferred.
Proficiency in Google Docs.
