Position Summary

The Patient Care Assistant, under the direct supervisor of a registered nurse, provides support to staff in providing a safe environment for patients.

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.

Essential Functions

• Patient retrieval and procedures patient transport assistance as needed
• Collaborates in the planning of patient care.
• Monitors patient progress in relation to care plans and expected outcomes
• Reports changes in patient's status promptly to RN
• Monitors patient progress in relation to care plans and expected outcomes
• Keeps patients informed of wait times and/or next steps in their medical processes
• Collaborates in the planning of patient care.
