Patient Care Technician (Pct)

Located in Nevada, Iowa, our Medical Center delivers high quality healthcare in a community-oriented manner in more than two dozen services and specialties.

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) you will:

• Visually assesses patient safety needs
• Initiates BLS in emergency situations
• Assists patients, families, and visitors with various needs to enhance customer service
• Performs routine, non-professional, bedside patient care within hospital policies and procedures, under the supervision of a nurse
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient, resident, personnel information, and all other hospital information.
• Performs simple and complex procedures, i.e., activities of daily living, specimen collection, glucometer checks, perform UKG’s, assist with blood draws, removal of dressings, discontinue foley catheters, discontinue IVs, and other procedures/techniques

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
• Mandatory Reporter completed within 90 days of hire
• High school education or equivalent
• Advanced CNA - Completion of 150-hour Certified Nursing Assistant training program
• Active on Certified Nursing Assistant registry
• BLS certified within 60 days of hire
