Part-Time Remote Designer, Sports And News

The New York Post is seeking a motivated and versatile Part Time Designer, Sports and News to join our team in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Position will be a combination of designing graphics/charts for print and digital, but will also include Editorial page layouts.

The ideal candidate must be available to work between the hours of 6pm-2am on Thursdays and Fridays, with additional shifts possible on other nights (including weekends and holidays). This position is a fully remote.

Responsibilities Will Include

• Ensuring high-quality and consistent branding across all materials
• Collaborating with the team to design and produce graphics for print and digital media, including but not limited to editorial layouts and graphics, social media graphics and marketing materials
• Working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work on-time

Requirements

• Ability to create and deliver graphics and pages quickly, often with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Strong sense of composition, balance between art and copy, photo selection and attention to detail
• Prior experience doing design work for a news organization is a strong plus
• Prior experience doing sports-related work, and familiarity/knowledge of the major NY-area sports teams and players are both a strong plus

Note: This position is 100% remote.

Salary Range: $15/hr – $125,000
