Working Under The Supervision Of The Program Director, The Individual Will

The Department of Allied Health Sciences at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (www.acphs.edu) is seeking applications for a part-time instructor position in the Masters in Cytotechnology and Molecular Cytology program.

• Assist in the preparation of lesson plans, visual and technical aids, case studies and other pertinent instructional materials. Contribute to course design, development, revision, and implementation.
• Aid in coordinating, and moderating, the clinical practicum phases of the training.
• Direct graduate-level lectures and laboratory sessions, particularly in their area of expertise.

The modality of instruction is flexible; we are open to online, in-person, or hybrid, based on the experience and availability of the instructor.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in Cytotechnology or a relevant discipline, and ASCP certification as a Cytologist/Cytotechnologist. Minimum of 3 years experience in cytotechnology.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in Cytotechnology or a relevant discipline, and ASCP certification as a Cytologist/Cytotechnologist. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year of teaching/clinical education experience, as well as experience with online/distance learning.

Physical Demands

Position Salary Range Pay Range $38/hr to $45/hr
