Job Description

Triad Math and Science Academy (TMSA) Greensboro, NC is searching for Summertime Part-time Math Teacher to assist with middle and high school grade math including Math 1, 2, and 3.

Applicants should have a degree in Math education or a related field.


Math Intervention Teacher Qualifications/Responsibilities:


  • Motivate struggling learners and work to change negative self-perceptions that some students have about their ability to be good at math
  • Regularly analyze data from interim assessment and other progress monitoring tools to assess student progress while delivering the focused data-informed intervention to students.
  • Work with regular grade-level math teachers and members to evaluate student achievement for the purpose of placing students in the appropriate intervention and support services.
  • Demonstrate exemplary classroom math instructional practice and possess a deep understanding of mathematics theory for the purpose of effective best practices to improve student achievement results and close achievement gaps.
  • Develop instructional materials and coordinate the delivery of instruction with other teachers.
  • Assist teachers directly in the classroom when required
  • Deliver instruction in individual and/or small-group settings (8-14 students)
  • Work with regular education students who are not yet demonstrating grade-level proficiency in math or require direct intervention to close known achievement gaps.
