Job Description
Position Information: Summer Learning Academy for Multilingual Learners (SLAML) at Randolph High School is looking for a MA certified teacher to join a team of supportive and collaborative educators for an engaging and educational Multilingual Learner summer program. The objective is to immerse English Learners into authentic and engaging language and academic activities, projects and field trips that are based on scientific and cultural roots of the town of Randolph and Massachusetts. There will be two weekly field trips to local parks, museums, fire/police stations, and community centers. Schedule: July 5 August 3 (Mon.
Thurs.) Hours: 8:00am 12:00pm* *Teacher day is 4 hours instruction/1 hour prepLocation: Randolph High School DutiesTeach WIDA-based lessons and engaging learning activities (project-based, hands-on, interactive) for EL students that target all 4 domains of English language development.Conduct and chaperone weekly field trips.Prepare and administer pre- and post program assessments. Maintain ongoing records of student attendance and progress of these language domains throughout the length of the summer program.Include daily formative assessments that incorporate WIDA standards.Adhere to program expectations.Provide a positive school experience for ML students that will help them feel confident in the upcoming school year.MANDATORY MEETING: TBD in June
