Parking Hearings Officer Part Time 15 Hrs./Wk.

Essential Job Functions:

• May be required to make court appearances on behalf of the TOWN.
• Will work in conjunction with the Police Departments’ Safety Officer and parking ticket wardens on changes and updates to traffic and parking enforcement.
• Adjudicates all appeals, both written and in hearings, based on Massachusetts Statute and Town Ordinance, and in their sole discretion, determines the validity of imposed parking fines.
• Will work in coordination with the outside vendor to accomplish the marking at the RMV and issues all RMV releases.
• Will be responsible for the marking for non-renewal of licenses and registrations at the Registry of Motor Vehicles for all unpaid parking tickets within the statutory time frame.
• Will administer and maintain the Town’s Parking Ticket payment system.
• Will meet regularly with individuals to assist and provide information on all traffic rules and regulations relative to MGL Chapter 90 Section 20A1/2 (and other relevant statutes) and Town of Winchester traffic and parking ordinances.
• Will be responsible for the receipt, processing, and recording of all parking ticket payments, and all notifications and notices issued.
