Your New Role


This position is responsible for certain aspects of copyright registration for IP owned by various WBD entities and joint venture companies. Initiates new copyright filings to protect a variety of properties, handles quality control and management of copyright files, and incorporates copyright information into company databases. Maintains copyright registrations and document records. Supplies copyright information to various entities. Performs other related tasks as assigned.


Your Role Accountabilities


  • Communicates with the Copyright Office on a variety of matters
  • Handles online research of rights, synopses, previous registrations and
  • Handles document recordations from various internal clients, including redaction as necessary
  • Handles copyright registration of various television series, motion pictures, video games, Style Guides and other IP as assigned
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • Maintains contact and corresponds with various clients and outside companies requiring copyright information


Qualifications & Experience


  • BA/BS degree in any field
  • Must be able to perform independent internet research
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat
  • Prefer knowledge of the entertainment industry, preferably in legal or business affairs
  • Must be able to compose letters and other miscellaneous correspondence
  • Must have the ability to understand business contract language
  • Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation and English usage
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Must be able to assimilate and retain information
  • 3-5 years of experience highly preferred with intellectual property, preferably with copyright
  • Knowledge of copyright protections and principles
  • Paralegal training preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented

The Legal Bits…


In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $59,507.00 - $110,512.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
