Summary
This job is responsible for operating material handling equipment in a safe manner for the purpose of moving, locating, stacking and counting merchandise.
Key Responsibilities
- Read daily order sheet to be able to select and move the correct tote of product
- Move finished pallets of product from the roasting room to the warehouse or loading dock
- Moves empty totes to be cleaned
- Adheres to all company policies and safety rules
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist other packaging employees within their job duties including using chemicals and water to clean and sanitize packaging equipment, palletizing and break down empty totes
- Handles inventory receiving transactions
Typical Education
Relevant Experience
- Minimum 12 months experience operating stand up forklifts in a processing or cold storage environment
- Manifesting experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Ability to use a computer and hand held inventory device
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work day and night shifts, weekends and overtime
- Ability to work in 25 degree temperature.
Other Information
Ability to safely operate a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, and high stacking totes.
