General Statement of Duties
This position provides oversight as needed to qualified instructors teaching within the IEL/CE program possessing LPN qualifications and who are responsible for teaching the nursing assistant occupational training component of the Integrated English Literacy/Civic Education program. Allowing the LPN to teach the occupational training content under their licence, the Overseeing Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring occupational training instruction delivered by the LPN aligns to the approved Certified Nursing Assistant curriculum and the state certification exams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain active communication with the Assistant Dean of Adult Education and Training as needed.
- Participate in program assessment and improvement activities.
- Provide ongoing support and timely feedback to LPN instructors regarding questions and/or concerns associated with occupational training instruction within the IEL/CE program.
- Monitor student progress throughout the year to ensure the appropriate application of knowledge and skills toward objectives associated with course and program outcomes.
- Participate in monthly consults with LPN instructors to ensure alignment of occupational training instruction to required curriculum and state certification exams. Consults may be conducted in person, virtually, or by phone.
Job Requirements:
- Experience providing long-term care preferred
- Ability to collaborate and work in teams
- Registered Nurse (RN) required
- Exceptional communication skills
Additional Information:
Salary: Compensation is $500.00 for 32 week program
