Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Supervise the Front Office overnight shift related to operations such as hotel facilities and guest experience services. This role will report directly to Director of Hospitality.
Essential Job Functions
  • Being in contact with guest during their stay, offering any special arrangements
  • Must be able to assist with initial training and retraining of Opera Cloud System.
  • Monitor guest activity while at the hotel, including being on call for any special requests or last minute needs
  • Forecasting of labor needs, including training time on a monthly basis (based on training expectations).
  • Arrange, record, deliver and charge all special requests for arriving guests.
  • Perform additional duties as required by Management and/or business demands.
  • Responsible for insuring & conducting daily line-ups (as scheduled) with department supervisors/managers.
  • Inspect all guest rooms prior to guest arrival ensuring excellence.
  • Create and organize guest data base according to guest history pertaining to requests, likes, dislikes, activity.
  • Close communication with Operations Managers, Housekeeping and Engineering
  • Greet guests upon arrival using their name, obtaining correct information, escorting guests to residence, giving overview of property and tour of facility
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts
  • Ensure that guest charges, transportation, grocery orders, etc. is being posted to guest folio
  • Monitors payroll (when designated by management) for missed punches, errors, edits, etc.
  • Familiar with the budget process, as it relates to daily operations and monthly finance expectations.
  • Complete knowledge of area attractions, dining, parks, etc.
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of all menus, outlets, and amenities of the hotel.
  • Ability to cooperate and operate seamlessly with all departments of the hotel
  • Responsible for preparing daily news information, VIP reports, GRF and any other department specific communications/ reports as needed.
  • Direct Supervisor of the Front Office department, under the direction of Director of Hospitality and Rooms Operations Manager
  • Scheduling in collaboration with Front Office Department
  • Ensure that departure calls are being done.
Education/Experience
  • One year certification from college or technical school, preferred.
  • One to two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Advanced understanding and system knowledge in Opera (SMS, or similar reservations system)
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel/resort preferred
