Job Description
Description:

The Leading Niche (TLN) is looking for an Outreach Coordinator to support a project with the Department of Transportation. The project's aim is to enhance motorcycle safety by performing motorcycle safety community outreach; through engaging, communicating, and influencing cooperation among motorcycle safety stakeholders and organizations in utilizing a safety plan for motorcycle events and gatherings, such as rallies, runs, and/or other staple events.

The Outreach Coordinator role involves leveraging experience to establish connections between traffic safety organizations, advocates, non-traditional stakeholders, and project outcomes through outreach and educational efforts. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the project by identifying potential partnerships, maintaining an outreach event calendar, and orchestrating various engagement initiatives. Acting as the primary liaison for project outreach, the Outreach Coordinator will strategically build relationships, create promotional materials, collect data on effective dissemination channels, and contribute to administrative duties for project management and event coordination.

Requirements:

  • Outreach Experience: 3+ years of outreach experience in an outreach, engagement, or community relations role.
  • Traffic Safety: 1+ year experience working in traffic safety, either on a federal, state, or local level. Familiarity with traffic safety issues, motorcycle safety, or related fields can enhance the coordinator's ability to connect stakeholders effectively.
  • Data Collection: Skilled in gathering data and information to identify the most impactful avenues for disseminating project deliverables.
  • Organization and Planning: Experience in maintaining event calendars and coordinating logistics for outreach events. Effective time management skills are necessary to meet the project deadlines and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage stakeholders through various channels, including social media, press releases, and email campaigns.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher. A degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and partners to achieve common goals.
