The Role: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

The Opportunity:
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, this position provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain physical mobility/function within an assigned area.
The Work:
  • Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
  • Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
  • Educates the patient and family/caregiver. Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
  • Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
You Have:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
  • Maine State Occupational Therapy licensure required.
