Danfoss is currently hiring for an Outdoor Sales Engineer within our Climate Solutions organization. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, driven and experienced Outdoor Sales Engineer for our Electric Heating products in USA, located preferably in California state.
You will join a dynamic team, part of our Accelerator Division in Danfoss Climate Solutions. This division has been created to unleash the full growth and value potential of promising businesses, in a unique and agile environment. Our Electric Heating products are recognized by their quality and reliability, and we believe we are geared for significant growth in USA in outdoor applications (like vineyard protection, ice and snow melting) over the coming years.
You will work with the local team to generate pipelines and deliver sales targets. This includes developing and maximize opportunities and building strategic partnerships. Therefore, motivation, tact, sensitivity, and professionalism are prerequisites, as you will have daily contact with customers and will be a direct influence on them. To be successful, the incumbent must drive a clear go-to-market strategy with an inclusive approach and prioritize efforts to maximize business targets while developing long term opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling our electrical products to clients and has a background in either electrical heating or B2B equipment sales to large, professional vineyard customers. You will work closely with the business development team to identify client needs and develop customized solutions for Vineyard frost protection business and other possible outdoor Electric Heating applications.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide post-sales and effective technical assistance and support
- Generate leads and identify potential clients through various channels, e.g., Electric heating & Snow-melt solutions in Residential segment, Vineyard frost protection
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients to showcase the features and benefits of the electrical frost protection in Winery business
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with clients
- Support locally relevant projects as required (i.e., UL certification, …)
- Track sales performance, analyze sales data, and prepare sales reports for management.

- You have proven experience (+5 years) in sales, preferable within electric heating and/or B2B sales of equipment to vineyards
- You can show a clear track record of delivering results, with strong sales growth
- You thrive in diving into the technical details, learning about our products and technologies
- You are a strong communicator, service-oriented and a team player
- You have commercial and technical experience working closely with electric engineers and A installers
- You have a Masters/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
