Scope of Position

The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. The Orthopedic Technician will provide services necessary for the Medical Center’s operation so that optimal quality care can be delivered. The ortho tech will be in charge of all Durable Medical Equipment &wheelchairs/cushions, management of technology and clinic supplies, and assists therapists with patient care.

Position Summary

The Orthopedic Technician assists therapists with management and maintenance of wheelchairs/cushions and DME necessary for patient treatment; coordinates the purchase and inventory control of wheelchairs, cushions, DME, orthopedic supplies, advanced technologies and equipment; manages the inventory and maintenance of capital equipment; maintains the seating/position and smart home clinic areas including monitoring patient treatment with therapists.
