Duquesne Light is in the midst of exciting transformation, from significant technology enhancements to new products and service offerings under development there are many opportunities to have an impact. We are seeking talented professionals to help the organization and employees adapt to the changes that come along with the renovation efforts underway for our 140+ year old Company!

Overall Purpose:
The Organizational Change Management team plays a critical role in supporting change adoption for these transformation efforts. The primary responsibility of the team will be to develop best practices, standardized tools and resources for business units and employees to leverage when managing change. This team will also help support the development of change management plans and engagement strategies for large company initiatives such as Safety Culture and Future of Work.
While this role does not have supervisory responsibility, the successful candidate must have strong relationship building and influencing abilities. The role will help to establish the Company’s Change Adoption Network which will enable employees to leverage training, tools and resources to manage changes independently in their business units as well as act as change ambassadors. The role will also provide direct support and coaching to leaders from Executives to Front-line Supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop change management standards and tool-kit for the organization
  • Develop company engagement and recognition strategies
  • Support the training and deployment of change management tools and resources to the workforce through the Change Adoption Network
  • Provide change consultation and coach project teams, managers and employees
  • Lead change management deliverables for large company initiatives including, impact analysis, change plans, engagement monitoring, recognition plans, learning & coaching plans etc.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources COEs to support organizational design changes resulting from level 3 & 4 changes related to large Company initiatives

Education/Experience:
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Excellent relationship building, influencing and communication (written / verbal) skills
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Collaborative an inclusive approach to working
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • 7+ years of experience in Organizational Development / Change Management / Process Improvement or related field.
  • Bachelors Degree in business or related field
  • Experience utilizing change/ project process models; ADKAR, INFLUENCE, Six Sigma etc.

Preferred Skills:
  • Change management certification or Six Sigma designation

Scope:

Primary Focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Accountable for managing one's own time and work flow and leads projects and/or large project steps. Work is complex in nature requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Acts independently the majority of the time, requiring guidance in only complex situations. Has well established capabilities, acts as a resource to less experienced staff on moderately complex issues.

Decision Impact:
Problems and issues faced are vague and require analysis of multiple sources of information for solution. Draws on significant past experience to perform role. Accountable for direct level of reasoning and decision making.
