Order Entry Jobs

General Description: The Order Entry operator is responsible for performing data entry work using a personal computer and appropriate software; entering, updating, researching, verifying and/or retrieving data into/from various systems; and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information recorded. The Order Entry operator will develop and maintain a solid product knowledge and negotiate pricing and delivery requirements that meet the customer’s expectations and production’s capabilities. This is an onsite in office position.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in answering Customer Service phone calls.
• Tracking shipments.
• Answering customer questions.
• Expediting customer orders.
• Solving customer issues.
• Negotiating ship dates.
• Enters, updates and verifies data into various systems for use by all personnel.
• Resolves minor processing problems; seeks assistance from supervisor or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertise.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Verifies and logs the receipt of data and obtains any data that is missing.
• Reviews and verifies data entered into database to ensure accuracy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Consistent attendance a must
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong work ethic and efficient at tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills.
