Job Description

Oracle DBA
We are seeking a qualified professionals to fulfill the role of Oracle DBA. Our current openings are in Database development group. Your daily work will include new development and modification of the existing databases as well as of the business logic. Besides development you will contribute in requirements gathering from the beginning and in the design of the application. This is a full time permanent position.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science or its equivalent degree

Technical skills:

- Must possess following skills - Oracle 8i, Oracle 9i, Oracle RMAN, Quest Monitoring solutions, Oracle Performance and Tuning, Oracle XML.

  • Experience 9i RAC/10G desirable.
  • Should have worked on high end Solaris servers such as SunFire.
  • Linux skills desirable.
  • Strong Unix shell and/or PERL programming skills.

- Experience with DB2 skills a plus - Experience with version 8.x on AIX, Used tools such as dp2pd,db2trc and other performance monitoring techniques,DB2 specific SQL syntax and optimization techniques, Datawarehouse experience on DB2

  • 3-5 years of experience (combination of required skills)
