Job Description

As an Oracle DBA III at JPMorgan Chase, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.
Job responsibilities
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
  • Troubleshoot application/DB performance issues/bottleneck and able to identify the root cause of the problem and provide timely resolution
  • Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
  • Understand application architecture and involve in their future design enhancements/modernization efforts
  • Participate in their daily sprint calls and provide inputs/guidance for any database related tasks
  • Work closely with Application Development team in understanding their database requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification and 3+ years applied Oracle DBA experience
  • Experience with features such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Active Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Golden Gate replication
  • Strong understanding of databases and oracle engineered systems like Exadata, ZFS and ZDLRA
  • Strong experience working with Oracle version 19c in a Linux environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies including Kanban, Scrum and DevOps
  • Experience with payment processing
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
